There’s something magical about a sunrise senior session in Raleigh—especially when it’s with someone as joyful and genuine as Adi.
We kicked off this unforgettable morning just after dawn to beat the summer heat, allowing us to capture that soft, golden light Raleigh mornings are known for. With professional hair and makeup by Brushes and Brows (www.brushesandbrows.org), Adi chose a fresh, natural look that highlighted her personality and complemented every location perfectly.
She’s a rising freshman at UNC Wilmington this fall, and her love for all things coastal made it clear that her session needed to feel light, warm, and full of life. The beach might be calling, but Raleigh showed up beautifully for this one.

We began in the dreamy Raleigh Rose Garden, where the morning dew and blooming flowers set a peaceful, elegant tone. The colors popped against the early light, and Adi absolutely glowed.

Next, we caught the rising sun casting its light over the city skyline—a spot that felt both urban and serene. These portraits had the perfect balance of bold and classic, just like Adi.

Mordecai Historic Park
At Mordecai Park, we explored the timeless charm of historic Raleigh. Between the white porches and shady trees, this stop added a lovely, storybook feel to her gallery.

Market Square
Downtown’s Market Square gave us color, energy, and those playful in-the-moment shots. With brick walkways and iconic downtown vibes, this stop was a favorite for candid joy.

Historic Oak View County Park (with Goats!)
We saved the best surprise for last—goats at Oak View County Park! Adi has a soft spot for animals (especially goats), so we made sure to end our morning with some furry friends. Her laughter during this part was absolutely contagious.

Why This Session Mattered
Adi is the younger sister of a senior I photographed years ago, and it means the world when families return to me. It speaks volumes about trust—and I never take that lightly.
We laughed. We explored. We created art together across some of the most beloved spots in Raleigh, NC. This session was more than a photoshoot—it was a celebration of Adi’s journey and the woman she’s becoming.
